Description

A polyelectrolyte of low molecular weight, nitrogen-free and phosphate-free. KEBO DS ensures continuous and energy-efficient production. In the sugar industry, e.g., scale-forming calcium salts are stabilized in solution and separated from the sugar crystals during centrifugation. Final cleaning after the campaign is made easier by the antiscalant.

    Benefits

    • Considered to keep in dissolution especially calcium ions in presence of oxalate, sulphate and phosphate ions in boiling sugar solutions at substoichiometric dosage on conditions which normally cause a precipitation of the scale forming agents (so called THRESHOLD-Effect).
    • Excellent high metal ion binding capacity
    • Shows good dispersing properties.
    • Is of particular advantage when being used in the sugar or ethanol industry as it is not volatile at high temperatures, temperature-stable and completely resistant to hydrolysis.

    Dosing, Addition

    The following dosing rates are guide values:

      10 -25 ppm KEBO DS NOUVEAU = 10-25 g/m3 thin juice dependent on the parameters at site such as composition of juice and heat exchanger load.
      In ethanol distilleries KEBO DS NOUVEAU is added diluted or undiluted at 10 – 70 ppm (depending on the exact dosing points within the process).

        Storage

        In closed original packages KEBO DS NOUVEAU is storable for at least 2 years. Protect from frost.
