Description

Inhibitor formulation for the protection of metallic materials against sulfamic acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and organic acids.

    Benefits

    • A highly efficient inhibitor formulation for the protection of all usual metallic materials in the boiler and plant construction as well as for apparatus and tubing during the chemical cleaning with acid solutions (sulfamic acid, hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid and organic acids). The dissolution of scales and incrustations will not be impaired.
    • Contains cationic inhibitors and non-ionogenic surfactants.
    • A quick wetting of the surfaces to be cleaned is ensured by reducing the surface tension.
    • Consequently the incubation time, i.e. the period until the beginning of the dissolution process of the sedimentations to be removed is reduced.
    • Furthermore, oily contaminations are emulsified,
    • Dirt particles are dispersed and
    • subsequent rinsing procedures are facilitated.
    • LITHSOLVENT CS is tested by VdTÜV at Unalloyed Steels in Formic Acid and certificated as Disincrustant under 08-KL-108

    Dosing, Addition

    • It is recommended to prepare the cleaning solution in a separate tank at the indicated concentration and then to fill it into the system.
    • In general the dosing rate amounts to 2.5 kg LITHSOLVENT CS/m3 diluted acid.
    • The duration of action of the inhibited acid should not exceed 6 hours.
    • After treatment with Lithsolvent CS, the cleaned boilers and systems should be rinsed with neutral water until pH neutrality is reached. On a pilot plant scale, 4-5 cleaning cycles of at least 15 minutes each at room temperature have proven effective; in practice, deviations may occur due to higher temperatures and larger process volumes. Rinsing to pH neutrality ensures that all active ingredients are removed.
    • Avoid open fire and light in the environment of the plant to be cleaned.
    • Rooms with open installations have to be well aerated during the treatment.
LITHSOLVENT CS is not stable in concentrated acids. Therefore, inhibited parent acids should not be prepared using LITHSOLVENT CS.

The products shown on our website are only a selection of our entire product range. There is no universal remedy for the rapid removal of impurities. Some can be removed well with alkaline agents, others better in the acidic range. The large variety of conceivable cleaning problems and the large number of additives, inhibitors and ready-to-use cleaning solutions offered by us make it advisable to obtain detailed advice before starting cleaning.
The same applies to inhibitors, defoamers, scale preventers, corrosion inhibitors, pickling inhibitors, etc. Depending on the plant, material, product and the type of boiler/cooling water is used, different individual challenges arise. We are well equipped for them.

Talk to us, we will be happy to help!
On request, we can analyze deposits in our laboratory and develop a cleaning strategy based on our many years of experience, taking into account the conditions on site.
